Pierce Brosnan reveals how Father’s Day trip changed everything for his son

The Father’s day trip to Montana brought surprise to Pierce Brosnan’s sons, Dylan Brosnan and Paris Brosnan.

For those unversed, the 28-year-old Dylan and the 24-year-old Paris, along with their father and mother, Keely Shaye Smith, American journalist and author, spent a few days on the set of the recently released The Unholy Trinity, a new Western movie that the 72-year-old Irish actor and film producer stars in as Gabriel.

While they were there, the movie’s director, Richard Gray, encouraged them to take their first roles in a full-length movie.

While having a conversation with PEOPLE magazine, Paris said, “He invited us out to come and hang out with him, and it was gonna be a great father and son trip, and we’re gonna get to spend some quality time together and see a new place and be on set, which are fond memories for us.”

He added, “I remember being on lots of sets with Dad and Dylan, which is always a good time. It kind of naturally and organically came about that we would be able to participate in the movie. There were some little openings for us to get in there and dip our toes in the water.”

Pierce went on to reflect on guiding both his sons in their acting debut in The Unholy Trinity by quipping, “I gave very little advice and they asked for very little advice.”

“I think both men knew instinctively what to do, and Richard Gray is such a delightful fellow as the director, and he was so enthusiastic, and it’s a very important film for him. ‘Show up on time, know your line, know your lines, and be brilliant. Be relaxed and have fun and go play,” he noted.

The Tomorrow Never Dies star further discussed working with his sons, stating, “It’s the most magical gift to have. We just had a great time.”

In The Unholy Trinity, Pierce plays the role of Gabriel, a sheriff in Montana in the 1870s, who gets involved in a tense situation with the main character, Henry, played by Brandon Lessard.

Samuel L. Jackson also plays the role of a smooth-talking villain who is looking for lost treasure.

It is pertinent to mention that Dylan stars as a poster in the recently released movie, while Paris depicts the role of the son of one of Gabriel’s rivals in the town.
