As for design, Kinetic has aimed at keeping the retro spirit alive with the new DX, staying true to the original 1980s model.

The new DX retains the signature boxy silhouette, now updated with full LED lighting all around, including the illuminated ‘Kinetic’ wordmark integrated into the fly screen

The Kinetic DX comes with a 714 mm-long seat, a wheelbase measuring 1,314 mm, and offers a ground clearance of 165 mm. The seat height is set at a comfortable 770 mm.

It rides on 12-inch wheels at both ends, wrapped in 100/80-section tyres.
It gets a 37-litre underseat storage, which is claimed to be ample enough to fit a full-face helmet along with a half-face one.
The scooter is equipped with a 2.6 kWh LFP battery pack with the DX variant claimed to be good for 102 km (IDC figures), while the top-spec DX Plus stretches that to 116 km on a single charge.

Power comes from a BLDC hub motor delivering peak power of 4.8 kW (4.7 kW for the DX). This enables the DX Plus to hit a top speed of 90 kmph, with the DX variant maxing out at 80 kmph. Three ride modes are offered, including Range, Power, and Turbo.
The feature list includes hill-hold control and cruise control. The latter gets a special ‘cruise lock’ mode, which limits speed to 25-30 kmph and, according to Kinetic, can extend the range up to an impressive 150 km.

The 8.8-inch digital display pays clear homage to the original, with its design mirroring the iconic instrument cluster. It also integrates a built-in speaker that allows users to play music on the go.
The DX Plus is equipped with an in-built charger, while the DX comes with a portable charger. Charging times are rated at 50 per cent in 2 hours and 100 per cent in 4 hours.
As for colours, the DX Plus is available in five options – Red, Blue, White, Silver, and Black. The standard DX, meanwhile, is offered in Silver and Black.
